Flanschenwerk Thal has over 40 years of experience in the production of flanges of all kinds.

The Company was founded 1959 in Sättelstädt as „PGH Tannhäuser“.

In 1991 it became a new foundation as Flanschenwerk Thal GmbH with domicile in Thal. In 1996 the share holders of Flanschenwerk Thal invest in the plant in Sättelstädt. Since 1997 the flame-cutting shop is displaced to Sättelstädt.

The sustained economic growth and the required reactions to the shifts of the markets made it necessary to set up an additional production capacity. So in 2006 the Company Flanschenwerk Thal decided to invest in a new fabrication in Schönstedt, 40 km north-west beside the Thuringian capital city Erfurt, to realize the expansion demands. Since November 2006 the administrative centre is located in Schönstedt too.

Today the Flanschenwerk Thal company is producing flanges up to 7.000 mm diameter (maximum weight per unit 20 tons) on a total shed space of 8.000 sqm (additional open depot 3.000 sqm, land area total: ca. 50.000 sqm).
